Welcome to Kingsway Senior Housing - a Resident-Centered Senior Housing Community
Kingsway Senior Housing, based in Norwalk, Connecticut, provides safe, affordable housing to low income elders of all races, cultures, and religious backgrounds age sixty two or older. We are a faith-based community that encourages all residents to live - and to age - with purpose, dignity, and meaning.
Kingsway has been owned and operated by King’s Daughters and Sons Housing, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, since 1968. Together with the Kingsway Group of non-profit organizations, we strive to build a community that is based on both state-of-the-art facilities as well as resident-centered offerings that far surpass the expectations of a normal senior housing community.
Providing a community that offers enriched supportive services to our residents is central to our mission. Offering affordable senior living that exceeds the expectation of affordable housing settings is the hallmark of our vision. We offer a robust Resident Service Coordination Program that helps those who live here access services and supports that help them age in place, ensuring independence and quality of life for as long as possible.
100% of our apartments are subsidized by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Applicants are subject to income limits prescribed annually by HUD, and pay 30% of their adjusted gross income as rent. Residents residing in one of our 20 accessible apartments must also purchase a meal plan, while other residents may elect to purchase meals separately.
